Covidien’s GatorGuard™ In-Room™ Sharps Container is used to protect patients and caregivers from needle stick accidents. The GatorGuard™ In-Room™ Sharps Container comes in three separate sizes to meet individual needs: 5 quarts, 2 gallons and 3 gallons. The GatorGuard™ In-Room™ Sharps Container is made of plastic and has a counter-balanced door design which allows for disposal of various sized items from a lightweight butterfly to a 60 mL syringe making it safe disposal of sharps and needles. The lid has thumb tabs which lock the container closed for final disposal when full. The side panels are colored red with lead-free pigments containing no heavy metals. It is transparent red for viewing the fill level on all four sides.
